My goal for each and every client - be they an individual or partnership - is to enable holistic, self-supported thriving. My hope is that every client will one day feel confident and ready to end their work in therapy, as they find greater meaning and fulfillment in the awareness and tools gained through the therapeutic experience.
Think of it as the opportunity to build your own processing hub, complete with the privacy oversight to ensure your most deeply personal information is held and protected. Node Psychotherapy is here to help you deploy the internal updates to ensure you’re able to meet evolving needs and challenges.
In the natural world as in technology, a node extends and develops a new branch when it is ready to reach beyond its current confines and we offer a place to nurture that new growth.
My work is grounded in the tenets of Gestalt Therapy, meaning that our work will focus on understanding how you holistically experience the present moment in your mind, body and emotional self. We may explore your family system or notable events from youth if they are creating an interruption in your life now but our work will not involve you narrating your life while I nod along.
Each client is a unique constellation of blood, sweat, tears and lived experience. As such, I seek to honor your distinct perspective on the world and your place in it. I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches to ensure that our work resonates for you. Feel like using tools that help you organize your professional life may help you better understand your emotional experience? Let’s experiment with that. Like to dabble in the “woo-woo?” I’m open to seeing how you relate to drawing cards. Interested in doing Walk & Talk therapy? Great - let’s figure out how to get outside. Our time together is for you to work through what you need, and I’m here to help you figure out how to meet those needs.
*I maintain a very limited number of sliding scale openings for clients unable to afford therapy at the standard rate. If your current situation makes accessing therapy at the standard out-of-pocket rate financially unreachable, we can discuss options during a consultation or in your first session.
Therapy for married couples, domestic partners, and intimate relationships seeks to bring awareness to individual and mutual understanding of our own needs, our partner’s needs, and the needs of our partnership. It’s never too early to start working on your relationship and Node welcomes those who are navigating the dynamics of dating, seeking secular premarital counseling, or working through challenges of long standing partnership or marriage.

After more than a decade facilitating incredibly difficult corporate relationships and business engagement, Node offers the unique ability to approach the nexus of personal and professional. Many issues that face co-founders or business partners may express themselves in the office but have roots in the emotional experience of starting and managing a new business. Working with business partners involves many of the approaches that help improve deeper mutual understanding and communication for couples in intimate relationships - getting clear on what each individual needs, what the working relationship needs, what the business itself needs and how to address each of these potentially competing interests.
Node Psychotherapy is a private pay practice and is not paneled with any insurance providers. Unfortunately, the current health insurance environment does not reliably or suitably support clients or clinicians in mental health care. Clients receive therapy in an out-of-network (OON) basis and sessions are paid for out of pocket. Private pay therapy can provide clients with greater privacy protection and gives both client and clinician more flexibility and clarity in how, how long, and what issues we can address.
Many insurance plans do reimburse a significant chunk of the cost of Out-of-Network therapy. Some may cover the full cost of your sessions. If you would like to use your out-of-network benefits, contact your insurance company and ask what the out-of-network reimbursement would be for outpatient in-person or online psychotherapy. Node Psychotherapy can easily provide you with a monthly SuperBill which you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement.
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
